Looe Harbour Heritage Centre in The Old Sardine Factory (OSFHC) is owned and operated by Looe Harbour Commissioners (LHC) who trade as the East and West Looe Harbour and Bridge Charities (Charity no. 291498). LHC are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors; this policy sets out how we will deal with your personal information.

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and all personal data is collected and handled according to GDPR. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. OSF follows the ICO guidelines for processing consent of information and will adhere to the rights of individuals:

Visitors to our website

We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. E-newsletter

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our monthly e-newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. People who contact us via social media

We use third-party provider, Hootsuite to manage our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hootsuite for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

Disclosures

We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
In addition, we may disclose your personal information:

  1. to the extent that we are required to do so by law
